What made you want to consider metal roofing as an alternative roofing product for your home? My shingles were getting on 9 years old and needed replacement. I was quoted almost $7000 for asphalt shingles but thought I’d rather pay more now and never have to do it again. It makes it easier for me. Also hail and high winds were a problem because our house is on a higher elevation. And it also looks much better than shingles.
In the end what roofing product did you choose? I chose steel roofing that looks like Spanish tile in Mocha Brown colour.
Why did you choose that particular product? My wife liked it. I like the bright red tile look because that’s what we see a lot of where I’m from. My wife wanted to blend with the neighbourhood more and match the front door. In the end my wife got what she wanted.
Looking back, do you think you made the right decision? Yes, of course.
Why? I don’t want to think of the roof ever again in my lifetime.

Ridge Venting
Ridge venting provides the best level of air flow or air exchange between your roof and outdoor air. This air exchange creates a transition between indoor and outdoor temperature and prevents condensation inside your attic. A ridge vent is installed by cutting a gap along the length of your ridge and then enclosing it with a vented ridge cap designed to allow warm moist air to flow out of your attic. Not all roof designs have a long enough ridge to make a ridge vent useful so please talk to a Top Metal Roofs representative to see if this option will work for your home.
